The morning after the night before

Well here he is in all his uummmm glory lol. Cando Owl stuffed and complete with eyes. Not sure what i think about him really but have given myself a mental pat on the back for having a go and leaving my perfectionism behind. I already have some more felt to have another go and typically have ideas for other things. So there is no such word as can't more i will give it a try, if it works it works if it doesn't either try again or leave it behind.

Scared I was, and scared I am.
Of what we are, and how it began.
Of where we are going, and what we shall see.
Of how things are changing around you and me.
Of being left behind in a world full of strangers.
And facing alone a mine full of dangers.
A land of ever changing colours.
A land where no one seems to bother.
When it’s all gone they’ll be too late.
They will have no reason to hesitate.
So ‘STOP’ for a while and look around.
There maybe sun, there maybe snow,
but how long it will stay no one knows.
Their maybe flowers, their maybe lakes,
but just who knows how long it will take.
What is taken for granted will not remain.
Nothing ventured, nothing gained.
Think about the world we live in.
Take advantage of the things we are given.
Expect the worse and things can only get better.
Do something now, don’t leave it until later.
With a little compassion and a little care,
we can all be made aware.
That the best things in life are free,
and that includes for you and me.

Cando Owl

This like many things i do is a work in progress. Yesterday i cut out the main pieces, today i sewed it together after cutting out and adding one or two other pieces. Tomorrow i hope to get something to stuff him with then i can sew him together again.
This is Cando Owl, i named him. When i was at work and learning i was frequently saying 'I can't' my boss would say there is no such thing as can't so hence the name. The basic pattern for my owl was found at :-
http://www.dltk-holidays.com/valentines/mowl.htm Like anything i can see room for improvement but for now I'm satisfied that i had a go. I'll keep you posted with the end result, still some tweaking to do...
